Why Debian?

So why did we choose Debian once again?

• Ease of package management for core packages, especially from a sysadmin point of view.

• FAI, Fully Automatic Installation, is primarily developed for Debian.

• Incredibly stable, well designed, rising popularity.

• We had a day in which alternatives were described in a lengthy discussion, Debian won the vote unanimously.

• Admins had experience with it.
