Capture The Flag!

Capture the Flag is a student-run network security competition. Our goal is to give participants hands-on experience with security as well as valuable skills for the real-world. Any Northeastern student is welcome to participate.

The next contest is scheduled for the first weekend in February, registration information will be avaible soon.

Talks give our contestants experince for use during the contest as well as valuable knowladge for the real-world. Anyone is welcome to attened, regardless of your experience level.

All talks will be held in room 366 of the West Village H building at 7 30 PM.

Tuesday, February 7, 2006 - Windows Security Talk

CCIS' own Colin Johnson (Windows Administrator for Systems at CCIS) will be holding an informative talk on windows security. This is meant to prep contestants on the ins and outs of windows-based security. Learn how to properly secure windows servers. See windows-security tools in action. Joshua Abraham and Ventz Petkov will talk about creating and maintaining a secure UNIX/Linux machine.

Jon Hart will present some ideas for network security, and discuss how the CTF network will be configured.
